David and Rebecca have been part of Cedar since its early days, joining shortly after the church was planted from its mother congregation, Harvest OPC in Wyoming, Michigan.
David has served as an elder for most of his time at Cedar, faithfully contributing to the leadership of the church. He serves as clerk of session, where he is known for his diligence, precision, and ability to maintain clear and well-organized records.
He has a deep love for the Reformed faith and for God’s Word, with a particular appreciation for the Old Testament and how it lays the foundation for the gospel and the kingdom revealed in the New Testament.
David holds a Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry and works as a technical director for a specialty chemical and water treatment company, where his attention to detail and analytical skills are put to daily use.
David and Rebecca have four children and several grandchildren. They enjoy spending time with their family both at home and at their cabin up north.
