Glenn Niezink has served as a deacon at Cedar and has provided leadership as President of the Deacons. He brings a wealth of experience to his role and is known for his wise, gentle leadership and thoughtful, strategic approach to ministry. Glenn was first ordained as a deacon at Cedar in 2021 and has also served as both a deacon and an elder in previous congregations. He has a deep desire to build up the body of Christ through his service and has faithfully served for many years as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent.
Glenn’s professional background includes work as a grocery manager, service in the U.S. Army, time as a division sales manager for Butternut Bread, and serving as a fuel management consultant at Van Manen Petroleum.
Glenn was widowed and has two daughters, four grandchildren, and one great-grandchild. He married his wife, Nella, over seven years ago, and together they enjoy spending time with their large family and investing in those relationships. Glenn is also a family historian and archivist, faithfully preserving photos and memories and using them to encourage both family and friends.
Glenn & Nella are actively involved in Cedar’s Three Score and More group, where Glenn is well known for his warm smile and engaging stories. In his free time, Glenn enjoys reading, walking, and working on puzzles.
