Mick Knierim has been part of Cedar Church for over two decades, joining the congregation in 2002 following his retirement from active pastoral ministry. A graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia (1975), he was named Pastor Emeritus in 2016 in recognition of his faithful service to Christ and His church.
Pastor Mick continues to be a valued source of wisdom and encouragement to Cedar’s Session when called upon. He also served in short-term missions with the OPC in Karamoja, Uganda, in 2012.
Now at 89, Pastor Mick and his wife, Ethel, remain a consistent and encouraging presence in the life of the church through their regular participation in worship and Bible study. He continues to assist in leading the weekly men’s Bible study and is well known for his deep love for God’s church, his reverence for Scripture, and his lifelong commitment to teaching and applying God’s Word.
