Vito and his wife, Barb, have been married for over 54 years and have made their home in West Michigan, where they raised their family and built a life together. Vito spent his working years at Steelcase.
Vito came to faith as an adult, which led to a deep and growing commitment to the life of the church. He was ordained as a ruling elder in the OPC in 2000 and has served faithfully for many years. He now serves at Cedar as clerk of session and participates in the presbytery’s sessional records review committee. He especially enjoys teaching and encouraging others in their faith, with a deep love for the gospel and the truth that salvation is by grace, not works—a conviction shaped through his own personal wrestling.
Outside of church life, Vito enjoys sharing a good Sicilian meal with Barb and cherishes time with their two children and seven grandchildren. He has a longtime interest in astronomy and mathematics—though he’s quick to say he’s still learning.
Now in retirement, Vito and Barb are grateful to continue serving and being part of the Cedar church family, trusting the Lord for the years ahead.
